Whitbread, the UK’s leading hospitality company and owner of the Premier Inn brand, provided Orpington High Street with its first hotel, complimenting a £15 million regeneration project already underway. The company has shown its commitment to the town by taking a 30 year lease on the property.

Construction of the hotel commenced late in 2015, with completion in the first quarter of 2016. In addition to the Premier Inn, a 7 screen Odeon Cinema, 24 hour Pure Gym, variety retailer B&M and Bella Italia contributes to the transformation of the Walnuts Shopping Centre, regenerating Orpington, creating jobs and encouraging further investment, in the surrounding area. Martin Price, Walnuts Centre Manager said; “We are very excited that Premier Inn is coming to The Walnuts. With the Odeon Cinema and restaurants opening later this year, we eagerly await the positive impact these developments will have on the centre.
