Sustainable Housing Development

Instrumental in the largest sustainable new housing development in Wales, Atkin Group were responsible for the Metsec Metframe structure on this development of apartments. Constructed by Leadbitter Group , Mariners Quay as it is now known was completed in 36 weeks and ahead of schedule.

The development, of which Atkin Group were instrumental in the steel frame, consists of 101 attractive, sustainable homes for local people. All of the properties are built to Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH) Level 5, making it the largest development in Wales to achieve this level. Considered one of the most significant eco-homes projects in the UK, Mariners Quay has already been awarded the Low/Zero Carbon Award at the Constructing Excellence in Wales Awards.
